The Bollywood town was once again geared up for celebrating the much talked about wedding of the “Chokara Jawan” girl, Gauhar Khan to Zaid Darbar. The wedding was one of fun and galore, that set new standards of romance completely filmy, giving the feel of out of fairy tale celebration. However, apart from the charismatic couple, it was the sizzling outfits and jewellery worn by the beautiful bride, that caught the attention of all fashion enthusiasts.
Where glamor meets love
Gauhar Khan is the latest from the filmy world to get hitched with the love of her life, Zaid Darbar. The high-profile wedding was preceded by Sangeet, Mehendi, and Reception which witnessed three different avatars of the bride. It is no doubt that the couple sizzled in their wonderful outfits, they did leave the fashion smitten with their amazing choice of outfits. The highlight of the wedding was the customized outfits by Pakistan fashion designer Saira Shakira for Nikaah, Mehendi outfit by Indian designer MayyurGirotra, and Rajdeep Ranawat’s amazing work for the sangeet ceremony. So let’s look at each of the ceremonies in detail:
The fairy tale Sangeet
The pre-wedding ceremonies began with the dazzling Mehendi ceremony. For this occasion filled with music and dance, the power couple decided to twin their outfits dolled up in Rajdeep Ranawat’s luxurious make. The beautiful bride donned a mustard blouse with elbow-length sleeves decorated with mirror works. She teamed it with a brown skirt that was attached with a kamarband and adjustable drawstring. The highlight of the outfit was color coordinated tassels with glass beads and Swarovski crystals
What drew the attention of fashionistas was the amazing jewellery she teamed with the outfit. Gauhar accessorized her look with beatific flower jewellery designed by Puneet Gupta that included Kaliree, haathphool, matching nose nath, maang tikka, mesmerizing flora, and pearl beaded choker neckpiece, anklets, hair bead chains that completed the look.
The groom was dressed in a simple and elegant white kurta churidar set along with a golden Nehru jacket. He paired it with simple yellow sunglasses and mustard Kolapuri footwear.
Magnificence of Mehendi
The glamorous night of Mehendi was filled with a lot of flamboyance. For the Mehendi ceremony, the glamorous “Jhallah Wallah” bride opted for Mayyura Girotra’s creation. They opted for traditional outfits. Gauahar’s outfit included a lehenga and short choli which was an amazing combination of geometric and tribal patterns with patola. It was an amalgamation of putting in all the colours along with plenty of mirrors, Resham, and gotta work.
To complete the classic look, the bride to be paired her outfit with a dupatta that was attached with a chevron dupatta completing it with a colorful pair of juttis from the Cinderella Story. Her jewelry was also equally gorgeous from Madhuban by Manubhai that included golden and green mixed choker jewelry and matching Maang Tikka and Jhumka earrings.
Zaid looked amazing in teel green kurta matching the bride’s outfit pairing with white pajama, accessorizing with a brooch from Kalyan Jewellers.
The dream Nikaah Outfit
The bride completely stole the show on the day of the wedding and looked amazingly regal adding a royal touch to the entire event. The bride for her special day donned an ivory-colored gharara by the renowned Pakistan fashion designer Saira Shakira from the popular label, Laam. The Kurti was knee-length and was heavily decorated with sequins and had the same borders attached to the dupatta.
Accessorizing the royal look
The exquisite bridal look was completed by beautiful Maharani jewelry by Razwada Jewels that was pleasing to the eyes and also looked extremely elegant. Some of the enthralling jewellery worn by the bride include diamond-studded maang tikka, jhoomer, a statement neckpiece, ring bracelets, Chokers, earrings, jadau, polki by the kaarigars of Bikaner. The entire look was completed with a pair of beige juttis that included the combination of stunning jute beads as well as tassels. This was designed by the footwear label Jutti Express.
The lovebirds did set an all-new standard for love as well as fashion with their dream pre-wedding and wedding ensembles igniting love with complete class.
